About Valerie Ramsay
Valerie Ramsay is a Certified Nurse Midwife at Premier Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been in the obstetrics field for the last 20 years, first as a labor and delivery nurse, then as a midwife. She takes pride in the ability to empower women and encourage them to be active participants in their own healthcare.
Valerie is originally from Lawrence, Kansas, but she has been living in Florida for almost 3 decades. She earned her associate's degree in nursing from Valencia College, in Orlando, FL and her bachelor's degree, from Polk State College, in Winter Haven, FL. She received her master's degree in Midwifery, from the University of Cincinnati, and earned cum laude honors.
Valerie’s considers her career in midwifery to be her passion and personal calling. She chose to pursue midwifery because she felt a deep devotion to caring for women, and their families, throughout their lifespan.
Valerie is happily married and is the proud mother of two beautiful children, Paige and Jacob. Her son, Jacob, was diagnosed with autism at age three, and Valerie dedicates much of her time and energy to advocating for autism research and awareness. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys traveling, crafting, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family.
